About New Members at Heworth Golf Club, York

Historic Heworth Golf Club in York is this year celebrating its Centenary, and we are now welcoming new Members. Heworth Golf Club is a friendly, informal, no-frills, golfers' club, where our Members and visitors can enjoy good golf in York on a traditional parkland course just outside York City centre. Players can opt for a full 18 hole round or if time is limited the course layout means either 12 or 9 holes can be played conveniently. So getting a few holes and some great exercise before or after work is on the cards. The course is fair but challenges players of all abilities and the par three holes are regarded as some of the toughest in the York Union of Golf Clubs.

Our traditional clubhouse offers a warm welcome with a main bar and a "19th hole", serving quality real ales, bar snacks and meals.

We welcome visitors, groups and new gents, ladies and junior Members wanting to join a York Golf Club, whether they are permanently living in or around York, or based in this lovely part of the UK for a period of time due to work, College or University commitments.

The Club Professional Fraser Kelley can kit you out with everything you might need. He is a Member of the Professional Golfers Association and is available for Golf lessons at reasonable rates (a 15 minute quick fix for £10, or four half hour lessons for £60 give you an idea of the lesson prices).

If you are a golfer or want to take up this wonderful game, Heworth is a great little club and we would love to introduce ourselves to you. We don't charge a joining fee; we don't require that you are introduced by another Member, and our reasonably priced Subscriptions can be paid in easy installments of £39 per month. Come along and have a look around for yourself!
